“What is the ultimate purpose of life? To give.”

Character Traits· TV/Video Clips

Every so often, you come across the story of a remarkable person. This is a person who changes their entire life’s trajectory for others- because of love. They don’t consider how to “improve” their own lives through increased status, money, or influence. They only see others. And they only see their ability to help. This is the purpose of life, according to them.

Narayanan Krishnan is one such person. His story is the most powerful story that I have heard in a long time. He seems to me, to be a male counterpart to Mother Teresa.

I love this story. I love that he is a common person who saw a need. I love that he clearly saw how he could help. I love the courage he had to change his course.

There are no words for this video.  I will just let you watch it.

Discussion

-Do you notice people who need help or are they sometimes easy to overlook?
-How can we “see” them better?
-What can we do to help others in a meaningful way?
-How do we develop the unselfishness and love that this man teaches us?
-Do you agree or disagree that the purpose of life is to give?

Tell me in the Comments!

How do you decide who to give to and how to give meaningful help?

Don’t miss out!
